Moon Corona System Requirements

Moon Corona launches on Windows PC through Steam. Budaolong Studio published official minimum and recommended specifications on the Steam store page. Use this guide to confirm your hardware before Early Access on July 30, 2026, and to tune settings for smoother tactical combat.

Minimum requirements

These specs target stable performance at lower settings during Early Access.

ComponentSpecification
OSWindows 7, 8/8.1, or 10 (64-bit)
ProcessorIntel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600
Memory8 GB RAM
GraphicsNVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 (6 GB) or AMD Radeon RX 580
Storage10 GB available space

Note: Steam client support for Windows 7 and 8 ends January 2026. Windows 10 or later is strongly recommended even though older versions are listed.

Recommended specs aim for higher settings, smoother frame rates in dense combat, and headroom for future content updates.

ComponentSpecification
OSWindows 7, 8/8.1, or 10 (64-bit) — prefer Windows 10+
ProcessorIntel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600
Memory16 GB RAM
GraphicsNVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 (6 GB) or AMD Radeon RX 590
Storage10 GB available space

The recommended tier doubles system memory to 16 GB, which helps when streaming assets during exploration and when running background applications alongside the game.

Platform support

Moon Corona Early Access supports Windows only through Steam. macOS and Linux native builds are not listed. Console versions are not announced.

Steam features at launch include Steam Cloud for save synchronization across PCs, Steam Achievements, and Family Sharing where your Steam library settings allow it.

Storage and installation

The install size is listed at 10 GB on Steam. Early Access patches may increase total disk usage over time as new areas and assets ship. Leave extra free space for updates and shader cache.

Install on an SSD if possible. Faster load times between tactical encounters and zone transitions noticeably improve pacing in a deckbuilding RPG with frequent scene changes.

Performance optimization tips

If frame rates drop during multi-enemy fights, try these settings first.

  1. Lower shadow quality — shadows are often the heaviest GPU cost in tactical grid scenes.
  2. Cap frame rate when alt-tabbing to reduce GPU load; see the Tools hub for background FPS limiter notes.
  3. Update GPU drivers before launch day; June 2026 demo patches fixed rendering artifacts tied to specific driver versions.
  4. Close overlay-heavy apps that hook into DirectX if you see stutter during camera rotation.
  5. Verify game files through Steam if crashes follow a patch.

Controller players should review the Controls Guide after the June 22, 2026 update improved input handling for additional gamepad types.

Language support at launch

Steam lists English and Simplified Chinese interface support on the store page. The June 22, 2026 update added Japanese and Korean in the demo build. Traditional Chinese and additional languages may arrive during Early Access — confirm the latest list on the Steam store page before purchase.

This wiki is available in English, Japanese, Korean, and Traditional Chinese regardless of in-game language options.

Before you buy

Moon Corona is a premium Steam title with no microtransactions or loot boxes according to developer FAQ answers on Steam. Early Access means content and balance will change; check recent Updates and the Early Access Guide for the current feature set.
